1:1 BODYWORK

Every corner of my work involves working with the body through a holistic lens; whether it is oil massage or clothed bodywork, by working with my intuition and each individual client, my intention is to support, nurture and release where needed guiding the body back to its own intuitive wisdom.

Sessions vary depending on the needs of the client. Bodywork is a fantastic way to both relax and / or energise the body. We are much more than just a physical body and it feels counterintuitive to only consider one element when wishing to support healing therefore my work always involves looking at the larger picture.

TREATMENTS

  • Who do you work with?
I mainly work with women of all ages with an aim to bring not only pain and tension relief but also provide support and nurturing in all aspects of life. I use the feminine cyclical rhythms as a main foundation of my work when working with women. I also work with children with a parent/guardian present. I work with men by referral.
  • What is Bodywork?
Bodywork is an umbrella term that refers to traditional (sometimes known as alternative) medical practices involving hands-on manipulation of the body and is based on the theories that touch and movement are essential to promoting physical and emotional well-being. Bodywork holds many different techniques that range from massage therapy, energy work, deep tissue, alignment adjustment and more.

MY BODYWORK
JOURNEY

Spiral Leaf Logo

The path that has paved the way in my journey into this world of work has been a true reflection of healing itself; full of twists and turns, uphill struggles and beautiful summits. When I was approached 3 years ago by my mentor, Hannah Alexander with the glimmer of the question ‘would you like to learn some bodywork?’, I truly did not know the depths of which I was about to dive in order to scratch the surface of the beauty of wild healthcare. Depths that have taken, and continue to take, me on a deeply reflective personal journey, equipping me with experience and skill to reach my wider community.

Over my short, but continuous, rich time delving into the expansive realms of bodywork it has become transparent how so many of us have lost touch with the ways of honouring and tending to ourselves. This loss of touch often results in imbalances and dis-ease within the body, which can mean endless spirals of searching for solutions. I am in the midst of relearning and rebuilding these foundations within myself. This is where bodywork can show up in support.

Through its ability to release, relax and guide the body back ‘home’, bodywork is a powerful approach that enables shifts within the body that can facilitate long term healing.

Drawing on practices and disciplines from all over the world from the dawn of time, this deep rooted approach feels natural to me and has given me an opportunity to draw on my sensitivities, which I once believed were a negative trait, and use them to give my own practice wings and depth to explore and hold others in this art.

"I have had limited use, pain and numbness within my hands for years, and after one session with Becca the majority of my ailments had eased. She is incredibly professional, has a great knowledge of connecting the dots within the body and genuinely cares about how I am feeling. She creates a relaxing and tranquil environment for the treatment to take place and makes you feel at ease from the moment you see her. I could not recommend Becca enough and would encourage anyone to make contact with her regarding her services."
